Training Resources....
When you're unemployed, underemployed or looking to change careers you may need help gaining skills or refreshing your current ones. Surely, if you're unemployed you've heard the argument against hiring unemployed candidates for fear that they're skills are out of date or have lost some skills altogether. So by taking classes, workshops, etc you can at least level the playing field for yourself in regards to that argument. This page will show you some free to low cost classes, workshops, etc. that can help.

GCF Learn.org
This website is great for beginners up to intermediate levels on multiple topics and programs. The highlight of the website is the FREE classes on Microsoft Office programs in both 2007 and 2010. The only catch is you have to register at whatever time they have listed. Also, you have to be able to complete the assignments on time or you lose your spot. Hey for something totally free, I think it's terms and policy for the classes are pretty reasonable. However, if you know you are short on tim e but need to update your skills or refresh them this is a great place to do it using the self paced tutorials. You'll find much more on the site but most importantly it is free and they get most of their funding from donations. Now if you're thinking that they are going to force you to donate, I can certainly say I did not have that experience. I haven't heard of others to have that complaint either.
